As part of a major post-conflict power infrastructure recovery initiative in Northern Iraq, our engineering team was engaged to support the rehabilitation of multiple 132kV substations across a major urban center. The objective was to restore reliable electricity to residential zones and public services, enhancing stability and resilience in the region.
Our Solution
Supervised the installation and alignment of 33kV/11kV switchgear and power transformers across three critical substations.
Executed relay interfacing, bus bar setup, and complete grounding grid installation to ensure electrical safety and grid compliance.
Oversaw the installation of SCADA systems and control cabling to enable remote monitoring and automation.
Led the replacement and calibration of aging current transformers (CTs), and upgraded DC auxiliary systems using smart battery chargers and VRLA batteries.
Key Outcomes
Successfully restored stable and reliable electricity to multiple districts, directly supporting residential demand and critical facilities.
Modernized substation protection schemes with digitally configured relays and up-to-date grid compliance.
